Why a Trustee?
I joined the Co-operative Trust Working Group in 2014 as a governor with experience working in partnership with other schools. During my time as a governor of an evolving federation, the benefits of collaboration became very clear. The children were thriving from a shared learning culture, a strong Senior Leadership Team and Governing Board, shared staff expertise across a broad range of subjects, better resources, and the wider support and shared values of the Co-operative Trust. As the Co-operative Trust schools began to explore academisation, my vision naturally expanded to how collaboration would benefit all the children and stakeholders of the Co-operative Trust schools. I am excited to be embarking on this rewarding journey together with our Co-operative Trust schools. I look forward to growing a multi-school family across our MAT in which all children can thrive in partnership.
